3/7/10 UPDATE:Roxie is so very special to the volunteers of RRUFF! Many of us have had the pleasure of watching her progress in foster care. Over the year Roxie has been with her foster family RRUFF has addressed the physical damage her former owners inflicted on her, built the confidence that was taken from her when she was abused and taunted by her former owners and taught her the love and dedication of humans whom truly care. The one thing RRUFF has not been able to do is find Roxie her forever home... If you are seeking a companion who is funny, loving and midly active Roxie may be your girl!
12/16/09 UPDATE:
RRUFF has no idea how this gem has avoided being scooped up! Roxie has now been with her foster family for 1 year and we are hoping to find her a forever home of her own!! Roxie is a smart and sassy sweetheart. She is playful and funny. She LOVES to play ball, go for car rides and to "find" hidden objects on command. Roxie is crate trained and knows basic obedience commands. She is active, but not hyper-active - she likes her walks but is happy to settle with her family too. Roxie is hoping for a family with a boy dog or no other pets. She is wonderful with children and wouldn't mind joining a family with kids. If you are seeking a companion who would make you her world Roxie may be your girl!
3/26/09 UPDATE:
Roxie was spayed in early March and has had her sutures removed. Roxie has fully recovered from her ACL repair and spay and she is now ready for her forever home.
Roxie received her Canine Good Citizen Certificate at an event to benefit RRUFF on 3/22/09. All of us at RRUFF are so very proud of Roxie CGC! Most importantly she has learned how to play with her tennis ball. She is really having fun just being a dog, and is becoming quite the retriever. Afterwards her favorite thing to do is sit in between her foster Dad’s legs, cuddle, and get pets.
Roxie is currently attending a 6 week obedience class with her foster family to polish up her obedience and learn some extras! Roxie is far more comfortable with strangers and often eagerly greets new people. It must be spring, because this girl is BLOSSOMING!!
